The Victoria Home Endowment

The Victoria Home Endowment Fund was established many
years ago, thanks to the vision of our founders, the Daughters
of the British Empire.

The Victoria Home Endowment Fund is a pool of invested funds
that generates steady, ongoing income for the Home. This income supports the Home’s operating budget and provides funds for projects of special urgency.

The Home requires an endowment fund because room and board revenues and third party reimbursement rates do not cover the full cost of caring for our Residents. Without the income from the endowment, the cost of resident care would be prohibitive.

Over 80 years of care have been provided to Victoria Home residents as a result of gifts to the Endowment Fund. Through charitable gifts to the Fund, you can help continue this tradition.

How To Make a Gift

Victoria Home benefactors generally use cash or securities to make gifts to the Endowment Fund. Other ways of giving include:
• Remembering Victoria Home in your Will
• Gifts in Memory of Others
• Gifts of Appreciated Property
• Gifts of Personal Property
• Designating Victoria Home as a beneficiary of a retirement account
• Designating Victoria Home as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy

Tax Treatment

Because Victoria Home is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), donors may deduct their contributions as provided for in Section 170 of the IRC.
Bequests, legacies, devises, or gifts to us for our use are deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes if they meet applicable provisions of the Internal Revenue code. Please consult with
your tax advisor.
